About Us

History

The company Gerlach Natürliche Düngemittel was established in 1999 by Dipl. Ing. agr. Andreas Gerlach as a business partnership. The aim was to get strong and healthy plants with low use of fertilizer and plant protectants. Optimized cultivation and the use of biological plant strengthener should lead to plants with better roots and which are resistant to diseases, to guarantee better yields. This project started in cooperation with the company Roots Inc. from USA, one of the leading companies in this segment.

After a successful introduction on the market, it could be seen that there is a high interest in this products. Especially agents preventing diseases and pest infestation were of great demand.

In the following years the company specialized on products for strengthening and fertilization of turf grass and on plant strengthener for horticultural crops as vegetables and ornamental plants. The products are used in biological cultivation as well as in conventional.

In 2006 the firm name was changed in a GmbH &Co.KG.  Today the company Gerlach Natürliche Düngemittel GmbH &Co.KG belongs to the market leader for biological products and plant strenghtener and operates in numerous countries.

After his final degree in the year 1993 as a Dipl.-Ing. agr. at the university in Hannover, he started a long-time practice as an advisor and distributor. During this time he develops a great interest in sustainable farming. For him it was sure that this line of production should expand to ensure today's quality standards. To make products available for this and to give effective concepts, Andreas Gerlach founded the company in 1999.

Daniela Surmann, Dipl.-Ing. agr.

surmann Nach dem Abschluss als Diplom-Agraringenieurin an der Universität Hannover war sie in der Beratung im Bereich Pflanzenschutz und Düngung tätig. Seit November 2008 arbeitet Daniela Surmann als Leitung des Innendienstes für unsere Firma und ist verantwortlich für Beratung, Verkauf und Disposition.


Wilhelm-Peter Kipper, Dipl.-Ing.

Kipper Wilhelm-Peter Kipper ist studierter Forstwirst ( Hochschule Zürich )und Landschaftsplaner (Universität Berlin). Er war mehrere Jahre in planenden als auch ausführenden Unternehmen im Bereich Landschaftsarchitektur und Garten- und Landschaftsbau tätig. Ab September 2011 arbeitet Herr Kipper im Beratung und Vertrieb Golfplatzpflege für unsere Firma.

Gabriel Diederich, Fachagrarwirt, Headgreenkeeper

Gabriel Diederich war in Deutschland als geprüfter Head-Greenkeeper auf mehreren renommierten Golfanlagen u.a. Golf-und Country Club Seddiner See und Golf- und Landclub Berlin-Wannsee tätig.  Im Ausland leitete er verschiedene Golfplatz-Bauprojekte. Zuletzt war er Head-Green­keeper der Golfanlage Schloss Nippen­burg. Seit November 2011 ist er als selbständiger Berater und Vertriebspartner für unsere Firma tätig.
